About the Finance & BI Team:
The Finance team at Uniplaces covers Financial Control, Financial Planning and Business Intelligence (BI). Our finance team provides financial oversight ensuring we have robust control of our finances as well helping the company plan for future.
The BI team is working to create an environment where we provide insights to the business via day to day reporting and in depth analysis.
Your mission is to support the team with reporting and analysis. The team will train you to run SQL queries and how think through Uniplaces data. What we require is an inquisitive attitude and someone who is willing to learn. You will get access to data, guidance and the ability to perform analysis which will drive business performance.
We are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience;
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel;
Knowledge of SQL would be a plus
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to learn and a inquisitive attitude
Ability to review, research ambiguous information and draw conclusions
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business acumen
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
The daily Tasks will be:
Improve and maintain our business reports to ensure it is accurate and up to date;
Pull data from SQL and provide this data to fellow Uniplacers that allows them to monitor performance or make day-to-day decisions.
Engage in proactive data production and analysis projects to uncover valuable insights that create commercial value for Uniplaces;
Operationalizing data – setting up visualization tools and reports to provide rich and usable information to operational teams that will make them more effective in their daily work;
Supply analysis – help the team have a detailed understanding of our supply: such as identifying optimal price, location, availability and identify where we lack supply, as well as looking into occupancy rates, retention & churn to understand ROI quantum and timeline;
Demand analysis – understand customer behavior, how this varies seasonally and the channel & user segments that deliver highest volume and ROI;

The role is based in Lisbon
The role reports in to our FP&A and BI manager and will support two BI analysts on a daily basis
6 month internship
