Uniplaces is looking for a dynamic individual for the key position of Sales & Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Sales & Partnerships.

This is a multi-functional role, focussing on increasing  business, for all our accommodation services , i.e. halls of residence, apartment/house shares and home-stays.


What can you expect from this experience?

As this is a client facing role, you will be interacting with language schools, agents and internship companies from all over the world. Working as a key member of the team, responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responsible for the lead generation and sales of student accommodation beds to achieve maximum occupancy and revenue  through driving and maximising sales performance within the Uniplaces portfolio.

  • Increase sales through online campaigns, using digital and database marketing skills, social media and online booking and advertising platforms

  • Identify prospective clients and conduct sales meetings

  • Negotiate/close deals with Partners and Direct Clients

  • Assist in the design and implementation of email marketing and newsletters, brochures/printed materials and brief creative agencies as needed

  • Conduct regular competitor analysis of all products and participate in pricing/product development decisions and innovation

  • Negotiate contracts with accommodation suppliers and seek to add new products to the portfolio

  • Visit/call schools and agents on a regular basis in order to close partnerships

  • Manage the client database  

  • Attend industry fairs and workshops, both in the UK and overseas, to increase business and retain existing business

  • Attend corporate functions and networking events in order to build up contacts and prospects

  • Update online student accommodation advertising sites, evaluate response levels and recommend the most effective advertising and booking platforms

With a proven track record within the sudent service industry , the successful candidate will be capable of working on their own initiative and display leadership in influencing others to participate in the sales and marketing effort.


Other Requirements

Flexible and creative, candidates will also have excellent spoken and written English, be numerate, display attention to detail and be well-presented.

  • Business acumen and analytical skills

  • The ideal candidates will have at least three years experience in a London-based post, ideally in the student accommodation.

Salary: Competitive. According to experience
